The food was the best we had in town, by far. The building was kept well and the waitress was amazing. We came back 4 meals in a row because each meal was excellent. Our meals included the options with grilled chicken, seafood, fried chicken, veggies, fresh salads, and dessert cakes, all of which was superb. The introduction page detailing the story of the place and its owners was quite funny and all in all it was a great experience. Only way it could’ve improved was the vibe could have felt more lively, although we did go during the week (mostly).

Had a really good portion of hake, cooked perfectly and very fresh. My partner had the steak which she said was delicious. The goat’s cheese starter was really hit the spot.

We celebrated our daughter’s 21st birthday at The Anchor and it couldn’t have been more special. From the very first call through to the end of the event, everything was handled with such thoughtfulness and care. Gerthda, the restaurant manager was absolutely amazing, she kept me updated every step of the way and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious, and the décor was beautiful. We were thrilled with how everything turned out and will definitely be back again.

We are inlove with The Anchor. The breakfast is truly amazing! My omlette was mouth-wateringly good. And I had the single best Flapjacks I have ever had! (The red valvet ones). What's more, the staff is so friendly and super accomodating.
